Skill: Offensive juggernaut
Scouting Report:
What he lacks in a defensive game he makes up in offense. He is sluggish on his feet, yet it incredible with the puck. Can take and receive passes with ease. Nice NHL ready frame. Kaliyev is the 5th player in 20-years to score 50 goals in the OHL by age 17 (Steven Stamkos, John Tavares, Jeff Skinner, Alex DeBrincat). He consistently puts himself in scoring positions.
NHL Potential: Would instantly improve any power-play. A bump in north/south speed could put him on a 2nd line.
